Summer Picnic

Date: Aug. 14th 10:00am
Location: Lake Wilderness park, in the Maple Valley area
Cost: Potluck picnic open to members
Hunt: $2 U.S. change & a $5 wrapped gift per person.
(The $5 gift is not required for non-hunters, but it is recommended. The coins can be any combination, any age, as long as they can be detected with a metal detector. The gift can be any type of item you wish, suitable for adults or children.)

The idea of the picnic is to bring our members together for a little fun, games, and treasure hunting. We will have two hunts, at least two strange games, a twisted scavengers’ hunt (rules announced at site), a prize giveaway, and most important of all: a potluck lunch.

The event begins at 10 a.m., kicking off with fun and games. Early birds can do some metal detect-ing around the lake or start the scavengers’ hunt. Then, we will start 1st small hunt. It will contain prizes in it, along with tokens you exchange for raffle tickets. We will break for lunch at approxi-mately 12:30 p.m. Shortly after lunch, we will start the 2nd hunt. It also will contain tokens good for raffle tickets, along with a few prizes. At the end of the day, we will have a special drawing from all raffle tickets.

Raffle tickets can be earned from games, hunts, special tasks you perform, or even just by being in the right place at the right time (hint: early birds). Overall, the more activities you participate in or the more time you spend at the event, the greater your chances are of winning a prize. You don’t have to be in the hunts to receive prizes.

The club picnic is for club members only.
